Start Mapping with QGIS
Start Mapping with QGIS
November 15th, at 3:30 pm
** Please note: this workshop will take place in the Bridge for Laboratory Sciences, Sci-Vis Lab **
QGIS is a free and beginner-friendly way to start mapping with GIS (geographic information system). In this workshop, we’ll learn how to find spatial data common to historical and social science research and visualize it with QGIS mapping. Led by Carolyn Moritz (cmoritz@vassar.edu), Digital Technologies Librarian.
Computing and Information Services (CIS) and the Libraries collaborate with a variety of community partners to arrange a series of interactive technology workshops each semester. They are typically an hour long and require no prior experience with the topic.
