Library Essentials In-Person
Take 30 minutes to get to know the Vassar Libraries! In this workshop, a librarian will introduce (or re-introduce!) participants to the essentials of navigating the libraries. It's not everything you might need to know, but we think it's a good start!
This brief workshop will help you:
- Begin to explore library collections
- Access scholarly periodicals, newspapers, and magazines
- Find the best databases for your research
- Request materials that we don't have at Vassar
- Connect to library resources even when you're away from campus
All students are welcome to attend! This workshop will be especially beneficial to first-year students and anyone who would like to refresh their knowledge of library resources and services.
The Library Essentials workshop will be offered multiple times during Fall 2021, and we will cover the same material in each session. Please note that some workshops are in person, and others are online (Zoom). The Library Essentials workshop on November 10 will be held in the Library Classroom (Main Library, room 160).
